Thank you for coming to our website.
Our introduction below explains our situation here in South Sudan, the purpose of this website, and provides links to other parts of the website. To navigate fully, please use the menu at the top or bottom of every page.
Our introduction.
This is us, taken in August 2023.
For the past five years, we have endured a miserable existence trapped in UN refugee camps here in Africa.
For LGBTQ people in many parts of Africa, human rights, freedom of expression and equality are denied to us.
We are a small but proud and motivated group of refugees, currently in a UN camp in South Sudan. As we write this in October 2025, our hopes for resettlement remain a distant dream.
We chose to move here from the UN refugee camp in Kakuma, Kenya. Here, UN officials and other charitable organisations are more focused on helping refugees find a better life.
The purpose of this website.
We need help with food and medicine. The United Nations has been underfunded for a while, meaning our food rations of grains, pulses, and occasionally rice are insufficient to sustain us.
With funds donated through our official GoFundMe page, we can supplement our meagre diet and help pay for medicines and treatment that the UN does not always fund.
For more details about donating, please select from the menu: How to Donate or How you can help us.
We are committed to presenting our situation honestly and clearly. The reputation and integrity of ourselves and the individual advocates currently supporting us remain paramount.
This website aims to add authenticity to our situation, telling our story so far.
We seek a life of freedom and equality.
We were two stages away from a final selection for resettlement in America when Mr Trump pulled the immigration rug.
Now we are back to square one. Notably, we have interviews scheduled with representatives from Canada and Australia. But it’s a selection process from among hundreds of refugees, all seeking a new life of liberty and freedom.
The only thing that has kept us going is hope and the dream of what might be.
Right now, life is hard. We’re isolated from a life of liberty, in this refugee camp, in one of the most unstable countries in Africa.

This is not a scam.
Many people wrongly assume that those like us who ask for help are scammers or up to no good, intending to steal from others.
That is not us. This is a genuine plea for help.
Here we share our harrowing experiences as we fled our country of origin.

You being here makes us happy. It means one more person becomes aware of our plight. Even if you can’t donate, there are other ways you can help make a difference. How you can help us.
